Gyoza King is located on Robson street and is part of the Vancouver Japanese Izakaya Tapas along with Gyo-O Fish King in Richmond and Chicco Cafe, a dessert place. At Gyoza King, there are low Japanese-style seatings, western-style seatings, and seatings at the bar.
The mini-sized rice bowls are only around ~$5 and I got the mini salmon don as salmon is basically the only raw type of fish I eat. My friends got a mini tuna don and mini negitoro don, which is spicy chopped tuna. I thought the salmon was very fresh and I liked it a lot.

One of my friends decided that he was hungry so he got a regular-sized katsu don, deep fried pork cutlet with rice. I'm glad I got the
mini-sized don because the regular-sized dons are pretty big! I still had space to try the other dishes that we ordered - ebi mayo, salmon yukke, and gyoza. Ebi mayo is one of the favourites among my friends and I but the salmon yukke was new to us. We weren't even sure how to eat it. It's basically a stack of raw salmon in pieces, some avocado, raw egg, and pieces of seaweed. You're supposed to mix them all together and then wrap it with the seaweed. A little too much raw salmon for me that night!

Their famous hand-made gyozas (Japanese potstickers) come in orders of 6 and 10 and we ordered the ganzo (pork/vegetables) gyoza and the pork, prawn, and chives gyoza. I especially love the thin outside wrap of the gyozas, but I wouldn't say they're exceptional.
Overall, a very nice Japanese restaurant for big meals or mini eats!
Then, we went to Gelarmony Gelato (formally known as Mondo Gelato) on Robson for dessert. With so many different flavours, it was difficult to choose! Fortunately, you can try a small spoonful of the ones that you're interested it. I got 2 scoops ($4.45): my favourite pistachio gelato and crème brûlée gelato. My friend got green tea gelato and piña colada sorbet. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get pictures without digging in first.

Great place to catch up with friends and chill as they have seatings too. The only thing I didn't like about this place is that they only take cash. Not a fan of "cash only" places. But very friendly staff and patient with me when I was having a hard time making a decision! :P
