Japanese night! We went to Matsuyama Japanese Restaurant in Richmond on Alexandra Road (where many, many restaurants are located). We chose Matsuyama because we had a relatively large group and the place seemed to be able to handle large groups.

I wasn't that hungry, so one of my friends and I decided to share a bento box and a roll. We settled for the dragon roll and obento box C. The dragon roll came with only 4 pieces, but I guess they were relatively big.
Dragon Roll $4.95
Box C $12.99
Box C came with miso soup (not pictured), salad, tempura, 6 California rolls, 4 pieces of sashimi (tuna and salmon), chicken karaage, and rice. I think this bento box
was a great deal (as usual) because it definitely filled us up - it was huge and we were barely able to finish it!

Overall, I would say that everything was mediocre, nothing really stood out. Even though the sashimi were thick slices, I'm not sure if they're that fresh. My friends and I noticed a fishy taste so we were doubting the freshness of the fish. (We used extra wasabi.) I think one of the most important thing in eating sashimi is freshness! However, I didn't expect this restaurant to have that fresh of raw fishes anyways. Partly because they do late night all you can eat special starting at 9pm. So as we were leaving the restaurant slightly before 9pm, there were many, many people at the door waiting for their late night to start. If I were to come here for all you can eat, I'd probably avoid the raw things (as I only eat raw salmon anyways) but eat everything else.
