War Horse comes out on Christmas Day, but I had the honour of watching the advanced screening. Directed by Steven Spielberg and based on the children's novel, War Horse stars Jeremy Irvine (Albert) as a young boy and the first owner of a horse whom he named Joey.
Albert's father was supposed to buy a strong workhorse at an auction, but he instead came home with a young, weak, and overpriced horse. In order to keep their house, Albert puts in all his love to train the horse to plow the fields. Because it is 1914, World War I comes and Joey is sold to a young lieutenant to serve in the war. From here, Joey takes us to the lives of other people that he comes across and stories are told. Albert eventually enters the war as a soldier to serve his country in WWI, with a small hope of reuniting with Joey again as they have been separated for many years.

For those who are just amazed by science, want to be amazed by science, or simply enjoy free admissions, mark your calendars! Science World, now known as "Telus World of Science" will be free for everyone on Saturday, Dec.17th, 2011. (I prefer just calling it Science World as I have always known it as that since I was young...)

Growing up in Vancouver and having been involved with science in various ways, I have been to Science World many times. I believe my last time there was on a class trip 4 or 5 years ago and it was Body World's. Currently, the focus/theme in Science World is dinosaurs.

In my opinion, Science World is one of the structures that makes Vancouver beautiful. As a kid, whenever I pass by it in the car, I would not help myself but stare at the beautiful geodesic dome, or "ball" as I used to call it.

Ahh, the magic of the little blue box, creating happy faces and lighter wallets around the world
Tiffany & Co., founded in 1837 in New York City, is known for its fine jewelry, silverware, and diamonds.
This is the second location in Vancouver - the first one opened in 2006 in downtown. Tiffany & Co. now opened at Oakridge Centre, located where Montecristo Jewelers used to be.
If you visit Oakridge Centre today, you will probably see pretty ladies in Tiffany Blue dresses and of course, Tiffany and Co. jewelry.

Cute customized Tiff & Co. cookies.

Not only do I like the Tiffany & Co. necklaces that they're wearing, but I also love their dresses - I really like this colour!
